Building a sea-can or shipping container home is a site that we are developing to share our experiences with other people.
Who are we? We are a married couple who are building our retirement home entirely from shipping containers in South-Central Alberta. We are, and always have been, off the grid, using solar power and a backup generator as our power sources.
The one error in this video was the cost of construction. The cost should be between $125.00 and $150.00 per square foot.
We plan to update our information and construction progress periodically with our trials and tribulations, what works and what does not, and also some of the products that we have found to be successful.
